2006

  • Alpina Ambiental - prototyping of a web application for registering environmental events using PHP, MySQL, MamboServer, Chameleon and MapServer
  • KNBS - training & consulting services: GIS concepts, MapServer, PostGIS and related technologies
  • VCP ( Votorantim Celulose e Papel - Forestry division )
    • prototyping of a Spatial Database using MS-SQL Server 2005 with MsSqlSpatial extension. A simple map viewer was done using OpenLayers/WMS + MapServer/OGR connections
    • Projeto INTEGRA - joined the solution design team of the forestry register module using SAP PM. Development of data migration routines using MS Access and VBA. General overview of the following processes: Harvesting(PP), Silviculture(PM & QM), Nursery(PP), Long term planning and Transportation
  • 1st portuguese MapServer online course published
    • course materials was also used during the 2nd and 3rd Brazilian MapServer Meeting

2005

  • VCP ( Votorantim Celulose e Papel - Forestry division )
    • development of dinamic web reports with PL/PgSQL and JpGraph under MamboServer
    • implementation of a web knowledge portal using comunication frameworks: Blog ( MamboServer), Forum ( phpBB), Wiki ( MediaWiki) and project manager ( dotProject)

2004

  • SNTGEO
    • development of a web property catalog system using MapServer/MapScript under MamboServer
    • implementation of a project manager tool for the company project operations using dotProject
  • 1st Brazilian MapServer meeting - helped Univali folks to organize and run the first Brazilian MapServer conference edition
  • creation of the “ShapeLib Tools - User Guide” document
  • portuguese translation of Thuban desktop GIS viewer interface
  • MapServer in-house trainings: Brazilian Ministry of Health ( data processing team), OmniLink, Escopo Geomarketing and others
    • in fact, this year training demmand helped me to draft materials that later( 2006) became my MapServer online course

2003

  • VCP ( Votorantim Celulose e Papel - Forestry division )
    • data model design and description of the Forestry Register, which was implemented using ABAP and had some interfaces with PP and PS SAP modules
    • development of a web mapping & SAP integration tool using MapServer & PHP/MapScript
    • development of a tool for extracting Forestry Register ABAP/Z tables to a MS-Access external file using Visual Basic 6 and RFC API
  • published a web forum for discussing MapServer and related topics using phpBB at my own site - for more than one year I kept this board running ( +2,000 messages) before transfering it to Univali
  • 1st MapServer Users Meeting - St.Paul/MN/USA
  • GeoBrasil 2003 conference - made a presentation for introducing web mapping concepts ( in portuguese : “O Brasil visto por clicks - a aplicação do web mapping como ferramenta de consulta de informações”)
  • created my first web mapping application (ClickBrasil) using shapefiles and MapServer 3.x to display general maps and census data from Brazil
  • my first web article “Democratizando a geoinformação através do web mapping” was published at MundoGEO website
  • mdb2shapefile - developed a simple tool for exporting attribute data from a MS-Access97 database file to shapefiles

2002, 2001

  • VCP ( Votorantim Celulose e Papel - Forestry division )
    • development of an intranet website for displaying operational reports and charts. The application was developed with PHP, MS-SQL Server 2000, JpGraph and a small use of MapServer. In fact, because of this project that I knew MapServer
    • development of import/export routines using Visual Basic 6, MS Access and MS-SQL Server

2000, 1999

  • MPA
    • development of a web invoice application with MS-SQL Server 2000 and ASP
  • VCP ( Votorantim Celulose e Papel - Forestry division )
    • Forestry Inventory Data Processing System - this was the my first real job as a programmer. It was also the base code for what today is known in Brazil as SPP Inventar - a forestry prediction platform
